I had the absolute pleasure of meeting yet another LinkedIn connection in person yesterday!

@Dean Wiener and I each traveled about 30 miles to meet at a Starbucks here in Texas.

LinkedIn is all about building relationships. What a better way to connect on a deeper level than to meet people in person, shake their hands and have a conversation.

We learned about each others families and business on a deeper level than a LinkedIn chat or a zoom meeting.

@Dean Wiener, it was a pleasure to get to know you better!

Connecting with anyone on LinkedIn is meaningless until you engage.

That is common knowledge, right? WRONG

I still experience many people who connect then refuse to engage.

There is no value in connecting for the sake of connecting.

Considering that most people do not post their own content, how else do they intend to engage?

Commenting on posts is a start but it doesn't build any type of business relationship.

To build real relationships, MEET the people you engage with.

Have a face-to-face zoom conversation and, when possible, meet people face-to-face. It can make all the difference in understanding their business and helping them understand yours.

How do you engage with your connections?
