This morning, Dale Dupree wrote an excellent post on you should not apologize for being in #sales .
Here is the link to his post: https://lnkd.in/eNVrTHwH
Dale gives so many great reasons for not being apologetic as a sales person.
✅ The most important part of sales is clear #communication .
One of the first laws of #entrepreneurship is use clear communication.
The first call may be unannounced but everything after that is to be expected.
Before ending any sales call or meeting, ask when the best time will be to follow up.
You take away the need for apologies or awkwardness by getting permission to follow up.
✅Be confident that there will be another call/meeting.
Ask, when is the best time to follow up with you?
❌ Never ask, may I follow up. That opens the door for an immediate no. The person may feel that you don't want to follow up.
Assume there will be another call, unless they tell you never to call again.
Even then, a good sales person won't take anyone off of their list, ever (unless the person dies).
I had someone who told me never to call them again ask for my help 2 years later.
✅ By planning ahead, you will never have to apologize.
Do things with intention, and success will follow.
Do you get permission to follow up?
