728 - Do you persevere?

Today marks 2 years since I was challenged to write my own content here on LinkedIn.

At the time I had about 1900 Followers and the same number of connections.

The challenge was to last 60 days and it came from @JohnKnotts.

He didn’t give me the challenge and then sit back to see what I would do.

Every so often, he gave me new tasks such as posting with no attachments, sharing a slide show, video or poll.

I had never done any of these things but I accepted the challenge because I knew I needed to start somewhere to strengthen my network on LinkedIn.

Was it easy?

NO

At one point I had a terrible sinus infection and was in bed with a 102-degree fever.

Still, I got up and made it happen. It was during those 3 days of being really sick that John told me I could reuse my own content.

I quickly learned to repurpose my content and post it again.

I persevered no matter how difficult it sometimes was.

There was one time when I got my post out at 11:57pm because I had been on the road working all day.

But I GOT IT DONE!

Now, 2 years later, 730 posts, I can say that I never missed a day.

My followers have grown to over 11K+ and I have almost 6K connections.

I was doing business in 7 states when I started. I now have business in 26 states.

LinkedIn is a phenomenal place to do business when you do it the right way.

Business is not easy.

Entrepreneurship is not easy.

Being in Sales is not easy.

You must build relationships, connect people, refer people and provide value to people on a consistent basis.

EVERY DAY!

In other words, you must ENGAGE!
