730 - What will you celebrate this month?

All the proposed holidays can be overwhelming, even meaningless.

🤔 This month is Canned Food Month, Dog Training Education Month, Fabulous Florida Strawberry Month, and many more.

There are more important causes to consider.

✅ This month is Black History Month, From Africa to Virginia Month, and Human Relations Month.

Those are topics I can get behind. 🍓 OK, Strawberry month is pretty cool too.

The more I learn about black history, the more I realize that we can’t turn back time but we can buy a new clock.

By that, I mean that we can learn everything there is to learn from a different perspective, in order to get a more realistic view of our country’s history.

We struggle with the thought of changing what we know but what we have been taught is only a partial and skewed vision.

I look forward to learning more about our history this month from people like @Designated Dr. Belinda Kendall, @Christopher Miller, @Samantha Unrau, and @Dana Brownlee.

Of course, there are many others. Search on LinkedIn for Black History Month in posts and you will find many people and companies celebrating this important month.

The more we learn, the more understanding we will have in all our efforts to come together as ONE.
