In some of the conversations I see here on LinkedIn, people are talking right past each other.
Conversations on #socialmedia are sometimes disjointed and confusing, at least that is my experience.
There is nothing like meeting face to face, virtually or live, for a real conversation where people can see each other.
Then you have the people who feel they must offer their wisdom, even though the same comment has already been stated. They add nothing new, nor are they engaging.
✅ When you see a comment that resonates with what you have to say, respond to that person's comment rather than be redundant.
Some people catch one line of the post and run with it, without having read the whole post for context.
🤦🏻♀️ I've done it! It's embarrassing. Then I learned to slow down and read thoroughly.
#business and #entrepreneurship are fast-paced as it is and everyone is on a schedule. But don't short-change your network with 3-word comments that add nothing.
Add value! Comment on posts with at least 7-10 words.
When you plan your day, set aside time to grow your LinkedIn community by adding value to it both through your own content and the engagement you give to others.
✅ Read the whole post and ask questions if you don't understand.
✅ Questions are GREAT! They help increase engagement.
✅ Read what you have written to be sure your wording is clear. That can help avoid misunderstandings.
Do you say what you mean, clearly?
