I moved quickly from Michigan down to Texas to take care of my father.
It took several months for my house to sell.
One day I got a call from the woman who was buying my house.
She was angry that Quicken Loans found out she had quit her job.
She wasn't getting a loan and she wanted her $5000 deposit back.
I refused to give her anything back because she left me 1500 miles from an empty house and I had no idea what to do at that moment.
She sued me.
I received a thick envelope in the mail declaring that I was being sued in the State of Michigan.
Anyone who has been sued frivolously knows how it feels.
Despite knowing that you are innocent, you must go through the process.
I called my law firm here in Texas and they transferred everything back up to Michigan.
A lawyer was sent to court for me.
On the court day, I sat on my couch here in Texas and waited to hear the outcome.
When the lawyer called me he said, "I just want you to know that we won the case...and she still wants to buy your house."
NOOOOO, was my answer. The lawyer told me not to worry, "We told her to take a hike. You won't be dealing with her anymore."
LegalShield saved me over $10K that day. I didn't have to find my own lawyer, put down. retainer or fly to the other state. They did. it all.
That is what I mean when I say that we provide Peace of Mind.
Bad things happen to good people. It is a great feeling to know someone has your back.
Have you ever wondered if you could be sued?
