There are very few things I can think of that I dislike more than shopping.
It doesn't matter if it is in a mall, a grocery store, or online.
I shop only out of necessity.
This week, I finally decided it was time to look for a Mother-of-the-Bride dress.
My daughter is getting married in September and it's high time I start looking.
Many well-intentioned people gave me advice, such as 'start looking early', 'order 4-5 dresses online to try on at home', do this, do that... The list went on.
What did I do? None of the above.
I walked into a well-known retailer and went straight to the evening gown department. After sorting through a few rows, I found a dress that fit my criteria and I tried it on.
IT FITS PERFECTLY! Done...get me out of here!
As I cashed out, the cashier told me the price tag on the dress was incorrect. I hadn't even looked! It was tagged as $209.
I thought that was great because I was expecting to pay a lot more. I waited as she looked up the correct amount, expecting the worst.
She made an adjustment to give me the correct price and, with a smile said, "This should make you happy."
✅ The price tag now read...$73! WHAT?
Post-Prom Sale, she announced!
For a split second, the thought ran through my head that, at that price, I should go bring a few more dresses!!
Luckily, I quickly regained my sanity, paid the whopping $79 (tax included), and left the store.
The entire shopping spree took 27 minutes.
😁 👍 That's what I call shopping!
