I am blown away by the comments on videos that are AI-generated.
People don't realize the whole video is done with AI, as in, IT'S NOT REAL.
There is a video of a wise man telling a prophetic story while his dog sits patiently by his side. It was incredible how many people fixated on the lack of movement from the dog.
š¤·āāļø "There's something wrong with that dog. He never moves."
š¤¦āāļø "OMG, the dog never blinked. How does he do that?"
š "The dog never looked at the man. That's weird..."
It's not only "older" people. There are comments from every generation.
This is not a generational issue.
I say that because some will assume that my following comment concerns my sister's age.
My sister is in her 70s. She is intelligent, alert, well-traveled, a talented quilter, a master diver, and many other things.
She recently sent me this "photo" of Miami Beach. I explained that it was not a photo but an AI-generated image.
At first, she tried to defend herself but after I pointed out a few obvious details, she admitted it "probably" wasn't real.
Like millions of other people of all ages who do not immediately recognize a fake photo with they see one, she had fallen for it.
Here on LinkedIn, we talk a lot about AI, watching what it can do and what it is not currently able to do.
ā Have you noticed how many people believe AI photos are real?
ā Have you seen AI-generated posts that are passed off as "original content"?
