I was intrigued by the question Bob Sager posted last week.


What's holding you back?



The results of his poll were interesting.


As of the writing of this post, almost 50% of the respondents listed, NOT ENOUGH TIME, as the reason they weren't getting ahead.


Ladies and Gentlemen, I know people who built their businesses to earn over 6 figures, who started with only 5 hours per week.


The belief that you have a lack of time is a mindset, as @julie Hruska pointed out in her comments on the post.


We all have the same amount of time. This is nothing new, yet many people think their situation is different. No, IT'S NOT.


You are not unique. I'm not saying this to insult or hurt anyone. I'm saying it because it's true, and you just haven't realized it yet.


I remember when someone opened my eyes to this simple fact; we all have the same 24 hours in a day.


The only thing you are missing is time management.


"But, You don't understand, I have children, I have to drive 2 hours to work, I have to Fill in the blank.


If you are in business and making excuses for insufficient time, please STOP. You're only hurting yourself.


Sit down once a week for 30 minutes and plan your next week. Everyday, at the end of the day take 10-15 minutes to plan the next day.


Planning doesn't mean you will do everything exactly as planned, BUT when you get sidetracked, your plan will help you get back on track more quickly.


Turn off the TV, TikTok, games, and all the other time wasters. As they say, those are for closers.


You don't need downtime if you haven't even gotten to work yet.


What you can do in one hour is incredible if you plan just one hour daily.


How do you do it, you ask?


  • Set alarms and reminders

  • Schedule it in your calendar and make it your top priority

  • Set a timer to stay on track

  • Get an accountability partner to hold you accountable


Change your mind, change your life. A few simple changes can make all the difference.
