We hear a lot about time blocking these days.

Whether you set a timer for 15 minutes or 2 hours is up to you.

During that blocked time, you focus only on the task you set out to do.

Maybe you're an entrepreneur making cold calls, an author writing a book, a CEO preparing for a board meeting, or a work-from-home mom who just needs time to herself.

Everything we do in life is in time blocks.

We block minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, and centuries.

Why would you not block time during your day for specific tasks?

We block time for our commute to work, to get kids to school, shop and prepare for meals, to go to the gym, and even for TV shows.

People block time to go to their religious meeting places for prayer and worship.

Companies set times for staff and safety meetings, planning sessions, and conferences.

It makes absolute sense to set personal times for specific tasks at work, and for others to honor those times.

Studies show that people who work in time blocks are more productive.

What do you block time for in your business?
