Houston, we've got a problem.

Are you starting to notice that AI comments often have a common theme?

You will read things comments like:

 ...are truly enlightening!

...you hit the nail on the head

 ...is truly inspiring.

...Your insights are spot on

After you have read a few comments like this on your (and other people's) posts, you will come to realize that people aren't reading the posts at all.

Many people are now taking the shortcut of going straight to commenting using AI without reading posts.

I've seen some comical comments where AI had misunderstood the post. And the commenter didn't catch the error because they hadn't read the post either.

The question is, does anyone care?

Take it one further, did the post's author even read the comments?

How do you expect your network to grow strong if you post on LinkedIn but don't engage with the people who leave comments?

We went so quickly from shying away from AI to abusing it.

Use AI! It's GREAT for getting content ideas, helping to write posts (not writing for you), and commenting on posts that you have read. The key word is HELP, not TAKE OVER.

If you use AI correctly, it can be a game changer.

Use it abusively, and soon, your network will start calling you out on it. Or worse, they will disconnect.

What have you been noticing with the misuse of AI on LinkedIn?
