Day 2 of 10 Day challenge - Once upon a time...

I loved playing the French horn.

It was my full-time profession for 30 years.

In this picture, I was preparing for an outdoor concert.

My colleague and I had just finished playing some duets as we waited to go on stage.

This all took place on Mainau Island in Germany.

The island is in Lake Constance. It's like a fairytale island.

There are immaculate gardens, a castle, a church, and even a butterfly house.

I have wonderful memories of playing here. It didn't feel like work.

It felt like being in a storybook.

I never took for granted that most people pay to go to places like this.

I got paid to be there!
