For the past 10 years, I have chosen a word for the year.
In my first year, 2010, the word was GRATITUDE, because it was exactly what I needed to get me through those tough financial times in Michigan.
My Word for 2021 is EMBRACE! I want to embrace everything that has happened in 2020 and what is yet to come.
I embrace the success I will have this year.
I don’t remember the word for each of those 10 years, but they are always words that MOTIVATE and INSPIRE. Those were both Words of the Year at some point, along with words like JOY, DESIRE, PERSISTENCE, FOCUS, and COMMITTED.
Keeping a word or phrase at the front of your focus helps to keep you in line with your vision and your goals. You will also notice your word showing up in ways you hadn't expected.
What is your word of the year?
