How do you handle emergencies, privately and in your business?

A lot of people across the country are experiencing weather-related emergency situations right now.

Here in Texas, many people weren't prepared for an emergency of this nature, They don't usually have to contend with burst water pipes or lengthy power outages in freezing temperatures, not to mention the amounts of ice and snow we have had.

Texas does not have the reserves of salt, ice melt, snowplows or mittens!

Some will say that Texas had days to prepare since the weather was predicted, but how do you prepare for something you have never experienced?

How do you prepare when the necessary materials, in this case, all of the above-mentioned items, and more.
