LinkedIn is a business network.
Few people join LinkedIn with the intention of "making friends" or "meeting interesting people".
Meeting interesting people comes automatically as you begin to network with new people.
LinkedIn is filled with people looking for jobs, employees representing companies, CEOs and other C-level executives, and sales people who do business all over the world.
You'll find employment opportunities, and recruiters helping to fill those positions.
There are coaches of every kind (zillions of them) promoting their services.
You can find people to help your business such as marketing strategists, brand developers, content writers and human resource providers.
The list is endless.
Everyone is showcasing themselves in some way.
Everyone has a title, be it Student, Owner, Coach, CEO or Open to Work.
The way all these people meet and interact is through networking.
Networking with intention is important; intention to give before you get, to refer before you are referred and help those who ask.
Start networking with intention to help others first.
It is a game changer!
It may not happen all at once but the more you give, the more you will get.
That may be something as seemingly insignificant as making people smile.
It may be showing interest in others before talking about yourself.
In every interaction you have on LinkedIn, or anywhere else, strive to bring value to others.
How do you give value others on LinkedIn?
