One week ago the weather took a turn for the worst here in Texas and in many places across the country.
Several groups of people made themselves known.
First, I'll call them the Good Americans. The biggest group were the people who stepped up and helped as much as they could to make the best of a bad situation. They put aside the things they would rather be doing in order to help those in need.
Next, were the Grateful, those who truly needed help, for whatever reason. They are the elderly and those in need who simply couldn't function without the help of the first group.
The third group is the Woe is Me group. They took advantage of the situation to skip out of work, get free food, and feel entitled to special service. This isn't a large group, but they burden everyone else and are the loudest. They act as if everything is happening only to them.
And last, are the Slimebags. They are the most dishonorable people who will take advantage of everyone else by price gouging and dishonest business practices. They will come from nowhere offering to repair damages, charging high fees, and doing lousy work.
What group do you being to?
