I was recently in Charlotte, NC where I had the pleasure of meeting another amazing Linkedin connection, @Shirl Richardson.

We met for brunch at a restaurant not far from the convention center, called Mimosa.

We had a wonderful time getting to know more about each other.

Shirl graciously gave me a copy of the book Inclusion Simplified, by @Nika White. I'm reading it now.

It was such a pleasure to meet this amazing woman.

Shril is positive, joyful and is on her way to doing great new things, despite some job-related issues she is currently facing.

She has a compelling story to tell about the importance of DEI.

The first LinkedIn connection I ever met face-to-face was @Calvin Lawrence. Calvin and I met in 2020, right after restrictions had lifted here in Texas. We also had a great time eating waffles and getting to know each other.

Later, I met @Fred Diamond in July of 2021, when he was traveling around the country meeting with many of his LinkedIn connections. Fred was considering writing 2 books at the time. Both have since been published.

I love meeting with my LinkedIn connections whenever I travel. I hope to meet up with Shirl again the next time I travel through Charlotte.

Soon I'll be headed to Minneapolis and I'm hoping to meet with a few connections there.
