Get on the Horn! An expression that used to mean use the phone or get on the phone.
Someone mentioned getting on the horn to me and I took it differently.
I played the French horn for 30 years professionally. It used to irritate me when saxophone or trumpet players referred to their instrument as a horn.
Especially when we are talking internationally, we should be aware that our terms may have a different connotation to others.
Get on the horn with a prospective client and speak their language!
