You set goals.
Goals come to an end.
How do you feel when the time is up? How are you affected by the outcome?
Are you finished now? OR
Do you plan the next goal?
For so long, I had a feeling of dread as goal deadlines approached and I hadn't accomplished what I set out to do. I never thought to re-align along the way.
Goals are not attached to a win or lose outcome.
Goals are a guide.
If you aren't hitting your goals, what do you do?
Reset that goal, making sure that it has all of the elements of a S.M.A.R.T. goal. Then get to work!
Goals contain these specific elements for a reason. As Yogi Bera said, "If you don't know where you're going, you'll end up someplace else."
Make your goal Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-based
